Moscow Open 2007: time to part!

The 9th day photo report

The 4th of February, 11 a.m. Chess players prefer not to get up so early. It’s the last day this year RSSU hosting Moscow Open...

A little bit sleepy but satisfied – the tournament is over. Denis Hismatulyn and Aleksey Aleksandrov.

Sergey Shipov and vadim Malahatko have the same feelings.

Chess players are very superstitious. During his final game Murtaz Kazhgaleev is wearing Manchester United scarf.

Glances.

Kazhgaleev: “So, where are the competitors?”

The competitors are playing. But the atmosphere is very sleepy.

Aleksander Lastin became champion in 2006 and gained the 2nd result in 2005. Alas, he hasn’t managed to win this year.

Dmitriy Svetushkin’s will isn’t broken down. The result of the game with Najer was predictable.

Najer: “A draw?”

Svetushkin: “Let’s see… No doubts, it’s a draw!”

Najer didn’t have to wait long for the desirable victory: the first prize has found his winner!
